Pork Tacos with Mango Salsa + Cilantro Lime Crema

A flavorful pork taco with mango salsa and cilantro cream. Paleo friendly, gluten and grain free.

  • 3 lb. pork shoulder
  • 4 cloves of garlic smashed
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 C. coconut aminos
  • 1 dash of liquid smoke check your ingredients
  • 1 mango diced small
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 jalapeno minced
  • 1/4 C. cilantro chopped
  • Juice and zest from 1 lime
  • 1/2 C. homemade mayo
  • 1/3 C. cilantro
  • 1/4 tsp. salt more to taste if preferred
  • 2 C. shredded red cabbage
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1 box of Simple Mills Pizza Dough Mix prepared and baked into 6 small taco sized discs bake for approximately 15 minutes
  • Lime to taste


  • Add pork shoulder, 4 smashed garlic cloves, olive oil, coconut aminos and liquid smoke to slow cooker or pressure cooker and cook according to manufacturers instructions (you will want the meat super tender and falling apart so longer is better)
  • To make mango salsa add diced mango, minced garlic, jalapeƱo, cilantro, salt, 1/2 lime zest and juice together in a small bowl and toss, set aside
  • To make cilantro crema combine homemade mayo, 1/3 C. cilantro, other half of lime juice and zest and salt, set aside
  • To prepare tacos layer some red cabbage, avocado slices, pork, mango salsa, cilantro crema on top of prepared taco "shells"
  • Top with additional lime and or cilantro
  • Fold your taco up and get your grub on!
