Overnight Protein Oats Have Completely Won Me Over

I’ll admit, I was a little late to the overnight oats party. In a world of everything protein, all those oats gave me carb-fear. But once I realized how incredibly convenient they are, I was hooked. And once I figured I could add Naked Nutrition’s Beef Protein Powder to it, I was all in.

There’s something so satisfying about waking up to a nourishing breakfast that’s already made and waiting in the refrigerator. Not to mention, the kids love it so it makes mornings around here even easier. Whether you’re rushing out the door, packing breakfast for work, or meal prepping for the week ahead, overnight oats make healthy mornings so much easier.

For those of you that have never made overnight oats, overnight oats are a no-cook breakfast made by soaking rolled oats in milk overnight, creating a creamy, ready-to-eat meal that’s perfect for busy mornings. No need to boil water and oats. If you can measure, mix and pour, you can make this.

That said, one thing I refuse to compromise on in the mornings is protein. Starting the day with a protein-rich breakfast helps keep me full longer, supports stable energy levels, and makes it so much easier to hit my daily protein goals. Naked Nutrition’s Beef Protein Powder is a great fit in this recipe because it’s unflavored, grass-fed and not loaded with other things like fillers, artificial flavors or colors.  Pairing protein with fiber-rich oats creates a breakfast that isn’t just convenient, it’s actually satisfying enough to carry me through a busy morning.

The Secret to Bigger Strawberry Flavor

Since strawberries are absolutely at their peak this time of year, I wanted this recipe to taste like biting into a fresh, juicy berry, not just oats with a few strawberries mixed in. I was looking for a strawberry flavor that is going to hit me hard. If I’m going to call this recipe Protein + Strawberry Infused Overnight Oats, I need the actual flavor to stand behind it.

Instead of simply stirring chopped berries into the oats, I blended fresh strawberries directly into the milk before mixing. This ensures everything melds together so the strawberry flavor actually soaks into the oats.

The result is an overnight oat base that’s infused with bright strawberry flavor in every single bite. It also adds a boost of natural fiber, beautiful color, and just enough sweetness from the fruit itself. It’s one of those small changes that makes a surprisingly big difference.

Why I Always Prioritize Protein

Protein is one of the most important nutrients to include at breakfast, especially for women. It helps promote satiety, supports lean muscle maintenance, contributes to healthy aging, and can help minimize the mid-morning energy crash that often comes with carb-heavy breakfasts.

Bowl of oats

While the minimum recommendation for women is just 46 grams of protein per day, many experts recommend aiming for 0.5–0.8 grams of protein per pound of body weight (about 1.2–1.8 grams per kilogram) for active women to support muscle maintenance, healthy aging, stable energy, and satiety.

In case you didn’t realize it, that’s a lot of protein!

As someone who’s always looking for simple ways to increase protein intake without adding a lot of extra work, incorporating a quality protein powder like Naked Nutrition Beef Protein has become one of my favorite kitchen shortcuts. It blends seamlessly into recipes like these overnight oats and instantly transforms them into a more balanced, filling meal.

Why I Use Naked Nutrition Beef Protein Powder

For this recipe, I used Naked Nutrition Beef Protein Powder because it delivers high-quality protein without dairy, making it a great option for anyone who avoids whey or other milk-based proteins.

Their beef protein is sourced from European grass-fed beef bones and provides a clean, simple ingredient list without unnecessary fillers. It mixes easily into smoothies, overnight oats, and baked goods while adding protein without overpowering the flavor of your recipe. It’s an easy way to boost the nutrition of everyday meals while keeping the ingredient list straightforward.

Make It Your Own

One of my favorite things about overnight oats is how customizable they are. Once you have the base recipe, there are endless ways to switch things up depending on your mood or what you have on hand.

Try adding shredded coconut for extra healthy fats and texture. Sprinkle in some goji berries for a little chewy sweetness. Or toss in golden berries (my personal favorite!) for a bright, tangy pop of flavor. If you’re craving something a little more indulgent, a drizzle of almond butter or peanut butter adds richness and staying power, while a handful of chocolate chips turns breakfast into something that feels like a treat.
