Dairy-Free Paleo Egg Nog

My entire life I’ve been an egg nog lover. Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember sipping on some of that sweet, creamy, dreamy concoction next to the Christmas tree. If you give me the choice between egg nog and hot chocolate it’s always going to be egg nog. Even in the middle of July. So last year when I had the chance to come up with some recipes for Blendtec around the holidays, I knew an egg nog was going to be on the short list. BUT it’s not just any egg nog, I created a dairy-free paleo version just for you.

While my heart will always be with the regular dairy-laden version, my stomach isn’t. These days I can drink but a small cup of it before my stomach goes haywire. Don’t get me wrong, I still indulge myself but if I indulge too much my stomach is going to be pretty angry. This recipe is the perfect alternative for those looking to avoid dairy or when the Christmas spirit has me a little too cheery and craving some major nog.

It was really important for me to create a drink that actually tasted link egg nog. Not like coconut milk with a bunch of maple syrup added to it. I think you’ll find that I hit the mark with this. You can see what else I have to say about my favorite holiday drink AND find the recipe HERE at the Blendtec blog.

If you’re as much of an egg nog lover as I am, head over to check out the Egg Nog Blondies that I made. It’s a great treat to bring along to holiday parties.

And for what it’s worth, this dairy-free version still goes great with your favorite bourbon or whiskey. 😉

Merry Christmas!
