Chicken + Waffle Cocktail Inspiration.

You didn’t think I was going to leave Schwartzy high and dry without a cocktail now, did you? We know Scandoval, the Cocktail was inevitable but I’d be remiss to think the other Tom didn’t deserve his own signature beverage too. What better way to celebrate Schwartz with a cocktail that embodies much of his experience on Vanderpump Rules? Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Schwartz fan. Buuuut, he does go back and forth, some may even say, waffle, quite a bit. Aaaand it’s rare he stands up to Sandoval when Sandoval needs to be put in his place. Chicken, perhaps?

Hence, the Chicken + Waffle Cocktail was born. Sorry Schwartz.

How to Make a Chicken + Waffle Cocktail.

Making a Chicken & Waffle Cocktail is quite easy. You don’t need any experience bartending at Sur. Or Pump. Or TomTom. And especially not Schwartz & Sandy’s. If you can measure, pour and shake, you got yourself a cocktail!

The Chicken & Waffle Cocktail is much like a traditional whiskey sour with some other sweet notes added in like vanilla and almond. And of course, maple. You’ll want to measure out all of your ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake the hell out of it. Because this recipe has egg white in it, you’ll want to shake it even more. There’s nothing worse than a cocktail that has clumps of egg whites in it, so really get into it. As I always say, shaking your cocktail is the most fun part.

How to Serve Your Chicken + Waffle Cocktail.

Serving your Chicken + Waffle Cocktail may be the second most fun part of this drink. Ok, maybe third because actually drinking it is pretty fun.

This drink is one you can serve in pretty much any glass you’d like. Personally I prefer a smaller bodega glass like the ones featured in this photo but you can also use any short glass. Since we’re chatting about Bodega glasses, I have to say, I am obsessed with the 7 ounce size. Not only do I use them to serve all sorts of cocktails, but I also use them as wide glasses when I just want a little sipper of wine. Which is usually most of the time.

This cocktail is garnished with not only an actually mini waffle but a breaded chicken nugget as well. Whatever mini waffle and whatever chicken nugget you’d like to use is up to you. Any will obviously work. You’ll want to make sure you ave a long enough cocktail pick to suspend the garnish above the drink. It’s not like an olive that you can actually put into the drink.

Hosting Your Vanderpump Reunion Viewing Party.

This Chicken + Waffle Cocktail is just one component of the Vanderpump Rules party spread I’ve created for you. Don’t forget to check out Scandoval, the Cocktail and well as bites like my Gluten-Free Fried Goat Cheese Balls, and a “It’s Not About the Pasta Pasta”, a Gluten-Free Crispy Artichoke Carbonara. No, that is not a typo. Two pastas and let me tell you, it’s ALL about the pasta this time around. And the crispy artichokes, no wonder they were fighting about the pasta.

Text your favorite Bravo friends (you know we all have them), pick a house, delegate a recipe to each and get ready to have an epic viewing party.
