ginger + pear white tea iced latte
I confess, I used to down Frapuccinos like there was no tomorrow back in college. Like, I literally didn’t think twice about my White Mocha Frap. I’m sure there were days when I downed two of them. Then as time went on, I “wised” up and started ordering vanilla iced lattes. And then I heard how many calories are in one and how I shouldn’t be drinking my calories. So naturally I moved on to decaf soy lattes. THEN, we all learned how bad soy was for you and that’s when I pretty much gave up. Unless, of course it’s egg-nog-latte-in-a-red-cup-season and it’s game ON!
But I have to admit sometimes a nice refreshing drink just sounds amazing. This summer I worked hard trying to find the perfect combo that would do the trick and that’s when I came up with this.
I use the organic Ginger Pear White Tea from Trader Joe’s but you can use any tea that has a bit of spice to it. I typically also use the Trader Joe’s Light Coconut Milk because it’s usually in my pantry, but it’s even better with full fat coconut milk.
So give this one a whirl and let me know what you think. Could it possibly replace your beloved Starbucks iced treat??
